Mechanical Fitter | Afternoon Shift | $60.95/hr + Super

Who you will be working with

This Brisbane FMCG manufacturer operates out of a modern production facility with a strong level of automation and a mix of newer and established equipment.

You'll be part of a close-knit engineering and maintenance team of around 8, working alongside electricians, production supervisors and engineering personnel. The business has a robust culture, low staff turnover and places genuine value on teamwork, reliability and practical problem solving.

- $53/hr permanent + 15% afternoon shift allowance = $60.95/hr + super
- Monday to Friday, 2pm to 10pm afternoon shift

Duties and responsibilities

- Perform preventative and planned maintenance across production equipment
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime




- Maintain and repair equipment including conveyors, mixers, ovens, flow wrappers, slicers and hydraulic systems
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce recurring breakdowns
- Support equipment set up, minor projects and continuous improvement activities
- Work closely with production teams to resolve issues safely and efficiently

We are looking for someone with

- A recognised mechanical trade qualification such as Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
- Previous experience within food manufacturing
- Strong mechanical fault finding and breakdown experience
- Experience working with automated or semi automated production equipment
- A practical, reliable approach with the ability to work independently on afternoon shift
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work positively with production teams
