Work that matters
Coordinate the delivery of a significant multi-partner research investment focused on accelerating the development of improved wheat and barley varieties through new breeding technologies. You will work closely with scientists and professional staff, communicate with project partners to track progress against a detailed operating plan, arrange project updates, ensure milestones are on schedule, and assemble accurate reports for investment agencies, helping translate research innovation into more resilient crops and meaningful outcomes for Australian grain growers.

The team
Reporting to the Director, Waite Research Institute, you will work within a collaborative multidisciplinary team and engage broadly across Adelaide University, including research services and business development teams. You will also work closely with university,
industry and other research partners to coordinate activity and support the successful delivery of this major grains research investment.

Experience
To thrive in this role, you will likely have the following skills and experience:
- A degree or equivalent qualification in science, business or a related discipline, or relevant equivalent experience
- Demonstrated project management experience, ideally within research, agriculture or another complex multi-partner environment
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience building productive relationships across internal and external organisations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including project reporting, milestone tracking and coordination of meetings and deliverables
- Experience using project management systems and coordinating timelines,
budgets and resources; knowledge of agricultural or biological sciences would be highly regarded
