Cafe All Rounder

About the role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Cafe All Rounder to join the team at Simple Coffee House in Southport.

This is a hands-on role that will involve a mix of front of house customer service, drink preparation and kitchen food preparation . We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, is happy to jump in wherever needed and takes pride in providing great service and quality food.

Barista experience is a bonus, but it's not essential. If you're friendly, switched-on, willing to learn and have a genuine interest in hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a casual position with preferably an immediate start , but we could wait for the right person to give notice if needed.

As we have a long-standing contract with the Queensland Police Service, you may be required to undergo a police check as a condition of employment.

What you'll be doing

- Welcoming customers and providing friendly, attentive service
- Taking orders and processing payments
- Preparing coffees and other drinks including smoothies, juices, matcha and milkshakes
- Assisting with food preparation in the kitchen
- Preparing sandwiches, salads, breakfast items and other cafe food
- Serving food and drinks and keeping the front counter looking great
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures, general cleaning

We're looking for someone who:

- Is friendly,



positive and genuinely enjoys providing great customer service
- Is reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Is comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced cafe environment
- Is happy to work across both front of house and kitchen food preparation
- Communicates well, works as part of a team and is willing to take feedback
- Has hospitality experience (preferred, but not essential) — barista experience is a bonus, but not essential
