Role Description
This is a full-time (6 month contract) role for a senior-level Project Structural Engineer, located in a heritage-listed building in the heart of Fortitude Valley, QLD.
The Project Structural Engineer will be responsible for:
- Conceptualising various structural framing solutions
- Performing structural calculations and analyses
- Collaborating with the external Project Team; other engineers, consultants, and clients
- Sketching and marking up design in preparation for drafting and for communication to the Project Team
- Managing project timelines to ensure successful project delivery,
including assigning resources, conducting meetings, and communicating regularly with external stakeholders
There may be an option to extend the contract or transition to permanent work based on project outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Australian-based consultancies
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in structural engineering, with proven experience in multi-storey projects
- Strong proficiency in structural analysis and design software - ETABS, RAM Concept and RAPT
- Excellent understanding of Australian Standards and NCC
- Ability to manage deadlines and deliver high-quality work
