Prepress Coordinator – Yarra Valley

An exciting opportunity to become a key part of a growing business in the Yarra Valley.
We are seeking an experienced Prepress Coordinator to join our team at Breen Printing, a well-established commercial print business specialising in offset, digital and wide format printing.
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Healesville, offering stability, autonomy, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a team that values quality, initiative and collaboration.
About the Role
Join a well-established, growing print business in the heart of the Yarra Valley. The position is for a skilled Prepress Coordinator to prepare and manage files for production across offset, digital, and wide format printing, as well as operate digital presses and digital cutting equipment.
This position is key to keeping our production workflow accurate, efficient, and client-focused. As the Prepress Coordinator, you will also work closely with junior team members and other coordinators, providing guidance, sharing knowledge, and ensuring smooth collaboration across the business.
Your day-to-day will include:

- Prepare files for press output, including layout, design, imposition, and colour management
- Operate digital laser presses, flatbed printers, and digital cutting machines
- Manage proofs and client communication via our client portal
- Check supplied files for accuracy, fonts, colours, and layout integrity
- Maintain organised file management, workflow entry, and job ticket preparation




- Work with junior team members and other coordinators to ensure workflow efficiency
- Assist with stock order management
- Equipment scheduling, maintenance, and parts management

About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident in Prepress production across multiple print formats and thrives in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in prepress and print production (essential)
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (essential) and InDesign
- Strong layout, typography, and colour management skills, including understanding of CMYK, Pantone and Specialty finishing outputs
- Experience in digital printing, wide format, and digital cutting operations
- Excellent proof reading skills and a sharp eye for detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with clients and colleagues
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide and mentor others
- A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transport to our Healesville site
