About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Administration Assistant to join our team at our Hamilton Bus Depot.
Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager, you will support the administration of insurance claims, maintain records, assist with payroll and compliance activities, and provide general administrative support across the business.
This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing parental leave cover.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and administer insurance claims for employees, passengers and third parties
- Liaise with insurance providers and internal teams including HR, Finance and Operations
- Respond to insurance enquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Assist with payroll as required
- Maintain accurate records,
files and SharePoint documentation
- Ensure confidentiality of sensitive business information
- Assist with audits, compliance checks, year-end processes and system improvements
About you
- Minimum Certificate III in Business Administration, Business Services or a related discipline
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in administration or office support
- Insurance claims or case management experience (highly regarded)
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (essential)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service and building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professionalism, integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality
