- Classification: salary from $67,030 to $71,976

About the Role

As a Regulatory Officer, you'll play a vital role in protecting NSW agriculture, communities and the environment from biosecurity threats.

Working as part of a specialist team, you'll contribute to the delivery of regulatory and compliance programs, including NSW Cattle Tick Program, surveillance activities, livestock management initiatives and emergency biosecurity responses.

This is a diverse, field-based role where you'll work closely with livestock producers, industry stakeholders and government agencies to support compliance with biosecurity legislation and help prevent the spread of pests and diseases that threaten agricultural industries across NSW.

No two days are the same. You may be conducting livestock inspections, supervising livestock treatments, undertaking compliance activities, supporting cattle tick management programs, investigating legislative breaches or responding to emerging biosecurity risks.

Essential criteria

To be successful you must hold

- Current NSW Driver Licence
- Current AQF3 Chemical Management Certificate
- First Aid certificate or willing to obtain
- QFever vaccine or QFever immune (tests required)

About You

- Positive can do attitude, able to work in a team environment & be a positive contributor
- Able to take clear work instructions, work autonomously, extensive cattle handling experience and a good communicator

Additional Information

- The recommended candidate(s) will be required to complete satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check, prior to appointment.
- Atalentpool may be created for ongoing and temporary roles of the same type that may arise within the next18 months.
