Role & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of high-quality dishes, ensuring consistency and presentation.
- Manage food prep and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
- Work efficiently within a team to meet service demands during peak times.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and innovate new menu items.
- Oversee stock control, ensuring kitchen supplies are well-maintained and ordered in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness, in line with health and safety regulations.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a qualified chef in a busy kitchen environment.
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
- Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to quality.
- Team player with a positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
