We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our team at Hariom Namo Pty Ltd trading as Medowie Medical Centre in Medowie, NSW. This is a casual position that will see you playing a crucial role in providing high-quality customer service and administrative support to our medical practice. This role is ideal for an individual who demonstrates excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service in a healthcare setting.

Key responsibilities

Provide a welcoming and qualified first point of contact for patients and visitors
n
Manage incoming calls and schedule patient appointments efficiently
n
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the practice management system
n
Process patient billing, payments, and Medicare claims where required
n
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations
n
Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
n
Perform general administrative duties including filing, scanning, and correspondence
n
About you
n
Previous receptionist or customer service experience (medical experience and experience with BestPractice software is desirable but not essential)
n
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages and backgrounds
n
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks
n
Basic computer skills and experience with medical software (preferred)
n
A genuine interest in the healthcare industry and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
n
Australian work rights are required for this position
