Job Description

Stanthorpe Hospital is seeking a Registered Midwife to join its maternity team on a four-week contract from September to early October 2026. Based in Stanthorpe, Queensland, this role offers the chance to work in a supportive clinical environment while maintaining flexibility around your schedule. The position runs up to 80 hours per fortnight, with a salary range of AUD58.95 to AUD76.20 per hour. Travel costs from Brisbane are capped at $200 each way, making the commute manageable for candidates willing to relocate temporarily.

Preferred Requirements

- Current registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
n
- Demonstrated experience in midwifery group practice models
n
- Competence in foetal surveillance and interpretation of cardiotocography
n
- Practical cannulation skills and experience in intravenous access
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary maternity team
n

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor of Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognised by NMBA
n
- Current Foetal Surveillance Education certification or willingness to complete accreditation
n
- First Aid and CPR certification current at the time of commencement
