As a Personal Care Assistant (PCA), you will provide safe, respectful and person-centred care to residents, supporting them to live with dignity, independence and choice.Working closely with Registered and Enrolled Nurses, you will deliver day-to-day care and support, helping residents with their individual needs while building strong, meaningful relationships. This hands‑on role is at the heart of delivering a positive resident experience and high-quality care outcomes.

We are seeking a Permanent Part-Time Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team.This role involves working night shifts on Tuesday, Wednesday,



Thursday and Saturday from 10:30pm to 6:30am .

Role r esponsibilities

- Support residents' dignity, privacy, rights, choice, independence, and cultural safety always.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and other team members to support the delivery of high quality care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility, transfers, nutrition, hydration, continence care, medication support (training provided) and comfort.
- Provide medication support (training provided)
- Observe, recognise, and promptly report changes in residents’ condition, behaviour, or wellbeing to the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse.
- Contribute to care planning through accurate observation, reporting, and communication with the care team.
- Accurately document care provided, observations, and incidents in approved LDK systems in a timely and confidential manner.
- Role model behaviours consistent with LDK values of Love, Decency and Kindness in all interactions with residents, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

- Current First Aid and CPR
- Training equivalent to HLTHPS006 (Assist clients with medication) highly desirable
- Previous experience in residential aged care, community care, home care, disability, or supporting vulnerable people (desirable)
- Well-developed oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with residents, families and other team members
- Previous experience in providing medication support (highly desirable)
- Current Driver's License (desirable)
