Make a real impact in emergency preparedness. As the Training Coordinator (Disaster and Emergency Management), you'll build workforce capability and organisational resilience across CHHHS through the delivery of emergency management, disaster preparedness and business continuity training and exercises. You'll help strengthen readiness, support emergency response, and ensure essential healthcare services continue during disruptive events.

The Disaster, Emergency and Business Continuity Team sits within Clinical and Non-Clinical Support Services. The team is small but highly effective and responsible for ensuring that the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service is prepared to respond to disruptive disaster and emergency incidents and can continue to deliver quality health care services to the community.

About you:

In your new role you will....

n

n
- Develop an annual disaster and emergency incident training calendar.
n




- Conduct regular training needs analyses to identify disaster and emergency incident training requirements for Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
n
- Based on needs assessment, design and coordinate the implementation of training packages including learning objectives, course content, course materials, presentation, and training program evaluation to meet the needs of specific work groups, management, and staff.

- Plan, coordinate, develop, implement, and evaluate training programs to test and exercise the business continuity and disaster and emergency incident plans for CHHHS.

- Ensure all disaster and emergency incident learning programs completed by staff are recorded in the Training Manager database accurately and efficiently.
