The opportunity

As a Risk Advisor, you'll play an important rolein helping Council effectively identify, manage and monitor risksacross the organisation. Working closely with stakeholders at alllevels, you'll provide expert guidance on risk management, internalaudit and assurance activities, helping to strengthen governance,compliance and informed decision-making while fostering a proactiverisk culture.

What you’ll do

- Support the implementation and ongoing management ofCouncil's enterprise risk framework.
- Coordinate and maintain risk registers, audit actionregisters and related assurance systems.
- Provide specialist risk management, governance and internalaudit advice to stakeholders.
- Assist with the delivery of the Internal Audit Program andAudit and Risk Committee activities.
- Develop reports, training and improvement initiatives thatstrengthen organisational risk capability.

What you need to succeed

- Qualification in risk management, audit, governance,business administration or a related field.
- Experience in risk, assurance, internal audit or compliancefunctions.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworksand governance processes.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagementskills.
- Strong organisational skills, initiative and ability to manage competing priorities autonomously.
