Job Description
This is an opportunity to join a well-established dispute resolution team in Brisbane and work closely with experienced partners on sophisticated, high-value matters. You'll have exposure to a broad range of complex commercial disputes, with a particular focus on corporations law, insolvency and banking and finance. With the team currently busy, you'll step into a role where your contribution will have an immediate impact.

About the Role
n
n
- Act on complex disputes for insolvency practitioners, secured creditors, directors and property stakeholders.
n
- Work across corporations law, complex insolvency and banking and finance disputes.
n
- Gain exposure to commercial and company disputes, including contractual, shareholder, property and sale of business disputes.
n
- Work directly with senior lawyers and partners, with genuine scope to develop your technical and client-facing skills.
n
- Join a team of eight lawyers and support staff with a strong institutional client base, including major financial institutions.

Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage matters through the full dispute resolution lifecycle, from initial advice through to negotiation, litigation and resolution.
n
- Prepare legal advice, pleadings, correspondence and other complex legal documentation.
n
- Conduct detailed legal research and analysis across commercial and dispute resolution matters.
n
- Assist with court proceedings, settlement negotiations, enforcement action and alternative dispute resolution.
n
- Develop strong relationships with clients and contribute to the effective progression of matters.

Skills & Experience
n
n
- 3+ years PAE in a reputable litigation or dispute resolution practice.
n
- Strong experience in commercial litigation, with exposure to corporations, insolvency or banking and finance disputes highly regarded.
n
- Excellent legal analysis, research and advice-drafting skills.
n
- Strong communication and organisational skills, with a commercial and client-focused approach.
n
- Comfortable working autonomously while also collaborating closely with partners and the wider team.
n
