Job Description
Senior Payroll Officer
n
$120,000 - $130,000 + Super | Macquarie Park NSW, 2 Days WFH
n
Great balance between end to end processing but with more focus on projects
n
Take ownership of payroll tax for the function & driving process improvements
n
Move beyond pure BAU payroll into a role focused on payroll tax, compliance, process improvement and transformation projects.
n
This role will suit a Senior Payroll Officer who enjoys the technical side of payroll and wants to play a key role in payroll compliance, process improvement and transformation projects.

THE ROLE
n
n
- End-to-end payroll processing for salaried staff
n
- Payroll tax ownership across multiple entities
n
- Reviewing and improving payroll tax processes and reporting
n
- Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation
n
- Complex payroll calculations, back pays and adjustments
n
- Payroll reconciliations and compliance activities
n
- Leave reviews and payroll audits
n
- Acting as an escalation point for technical payroll matters
n
- Supporting payroll projects, testing, UAT and process improvement initiatives
n
- Working closely with HR, Finance and operational stakeholders
n
- Identifying opportunities to automate and streamline payroll workflows
n
- Cross-checking payroll outputs and supporting quality assurance activities
n
n
THE PERSON -
n
To be successful in this position you will bring:
n
n
- Proven Senior Payroll Officer with strong end-to-end payroll knowledge within complex payroll environment
n
- Multi-state payroll tax reporting experience
n
- Advanced Excel skills
n
- Strong understanding of Awards and Enterprise Agreements and payroll compliance
n
- Robust systems capability and process improvement mindset
n
- Ability to own and resolve complex payroll matters
n
- Positive, proactive and team-oriented approach
n
- iChris experience, or UKG experience would be highly regarded
n
- Experience with payroll projects, implementations or UAT testing
n
- Strong stakeholder management skills across HR, Finance and Operations
n
