Job Description
Mater Private Hospital Gold Coast is seeking a Registered Nurse to work within our General Medical ward. This position will be employed on a casual basis. Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope's Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater's commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Our General Medical/Renal Ward specialises in Renal and Geriatric care offering a broad range of acute and complex healthcare services. You'll join a compassionate, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care while making a meaningful difference to patients and their families every day.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.

Salary range: $44.06 - $56.52 per hour plus casual loading plus superannuationandaccess to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900+access to many staff benefits!

What you'll be doing
n
n
- Deliver evidence-based, patient-centred nursing care across medical and palliative services
n
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised care plans
n
- Support patients and their families with compassion, dignity and respect throughout their care journey
n
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate safe, effective care
n
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
n
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to discharge planning
n
- Mentor and support nursing colleagues and students where appropriate
n
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development
n
n
About you
n
n
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with no restrictions
n
- Demonstrated clinical experience within an acute medical, oncology and/or palliative care setting (highly regarded)
n
- A genuine passion for providing person-centred, compassionate care
n
- Excellent clinical assessment, communication and critical thinking skills
n
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
n
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care
n
- Willingness to participate in ongoing learning, education and professional development
n
- Postgraduate qualifications relevant to medical or palliative nursing will be highly regarded but are not essential
n
