This part time role is with a well-established organisation operating in the building and construction sector. As a medium-sized organisation, we are focused on delivering quality projects, on time and budget and pride ourselves on happy and repeat clientele in the Toowoomba and Greater Region.

As a growing and expanding enterprise this role is a newly created position to help support the Financial Controller to service the business and it's departments to meet ever expanding financial and commercial objectives and compliance.

Description

n

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Officer role would ideally be based in Toowoomba. Core responsibilities include:

n

End to end Accounts Payable

n

Maintain accurate records in accounting system

n

Review, report and maintain Accounts Payable Tax coding to assist preparation of BAS

n

Credit Card reconciliations and expense re-imbursements

n

Manage Bunnings and Fuel Card Accounts

n

Review, report and maintain TPAR records

n

Review and Maintain Tools and Asset Registers

n

Reconciliations and general bookkeeping tasks

n

Assist with month end processes as needed

n

Assist in collation and preparation of ad hoc information, filing and record keeping

n

Ensure compliance with all relevant internal processes

n

Profile

n

A successful candidate should have:

n





Minimum 2+ years of bookkeeping and/or Accounts Payable experience is required

n

A relevant certificate in Accounting or working towards (but not essential).

n

Demonstrated ability to work with financial systems and software (ERP System and advantage but not essential).

n

Enjoy working with numbers, take pride in their work and be reliable

n

Good organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

n

Strong communication skills and ability to problem solve

n

Strong understanding of delegations of authority and value confidentiality

n

Australian citizenship is required for this position
