Hands-On Trades Assistant Wanted – Great Variety, Great Team, No Two Days the Same!

Essential Power Systems (EPS) is looking for a reliable, hands‐on Electrical & Mechanical Trades Assistant to join our growing team in Cardiff. You'll work alongside experienced electricians and generator technicians on a wide range of diesel generators, electrical equipment and temporary power systems, both in our workshop and out on industrial and commercial sites.

Key responsibilities

- Assisting with generator servicing, repairs and maintenance
n
- Helping with electrical and mechanical installations
n
- Preparing generators and equipment for upcoming jobs
n
- Loading, unloading and transporting equipment
n
- Site mobilisations and demobilisations
n




- Workshop and yard duties
n
- Working alongside tradespeople on customer sites
n

About you

n

n
- Current Forklift Licence – required
n
- Current MR Truck Licence – required
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- White Card
n
- Previous industrial or Trades Assistant experience
n
- Good mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
n
- Confidence using hand and power tools
n
- A robust work ethic and good attitude
n
- Ability to work well within a small team
n
- Experience with diesel generators, heavy equipment or industrial electrical equipment would be a big advantage, but isn't essential
