On The Go Property Services is a small start-up Maintenance and Property Services business servicing the Toowoomba region. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Handyman to join the business as we grow. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to and help shape the future direction of the business.

We have established systems, strategies, and processes to support effective workflow management and a high turnover of work orders. Our core clients are within the real estate property management and commercial facilities management sectors, with residential properties being a key focus.

What You'll Be Doing

n

This role has a strong focus on smaller maintenance tasks. Some days will involve attending multiple jobs,



while others may require working on a single site for the day. Jobs rarely extend beyond two full days with minimal travel outside the Toowoomba region. The work is varied and not limited to a single trade, making this an ideal role for an all-rounder handyman.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

n

- Diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance issues and determining appropriate solutions.
n
- Performing general building and property maintenance, including carpentry, painting, plastering, cleaning, and lawn and garden care.
n
- Responding promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
n
- Completing tasks efficiently and within required timeframes.
n
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used via our online job management system.
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
n

Desirables that we are seeking

n

n
- Minimum two years' experience as a Maintenance Handyman or within a hands‐on trade or service‐based business.
n
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
n




- Solid problem-solving skills and sound knowledge of residential property maintenance and repair techniques.
n
- Trade qualification desirable but not essential.
n
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and relevant equipment.
n
- Strong communication skills for client interaction and teamwork.
n
- Confidence using tablet/phone/app/cloud-based applications for job management, client communication, and WHS compliance.
n

Mandatory Requirements

n

n
- Valid Queensland driver's licence.
n
- Valid Working With Children Blue Card, or willingness/ability to obtain one.
n
- Valid Construction Industry White Card, or willingness/ability to obtain one.
n
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail, including daily use of online SWMS documentation.
n

What We Offer

- Base Salary: $80,000 per annum plus superannuation.
n
- Vehicle: Company supplied work ute with fuel card.
n
- Tools: Company supplied power tools and hand tools.
n
- 3-Day Weekends: Full time hours compressed into a 4-Day work week operating 4 x 10 hour days (7:00am - 5:00pm - with 30 min break) totalling a standard 38 hours per week, rendering the outcome of a 3-Day weekend every single week for you!

- Monthly Bonus: (Potential Add On) After completion of probation period, monthly bonuses can be achieved through meeting targets (The ability to potentially earn up to a further $12,000 per annum in target bonuses)
