The Opportunity

n

Our client is a high growth wholesale and distribution business that has recently secured private equity investment. Based in Liverpool, the business is growing 30% YoY with a explicit strategy for future growth. Theyoffer a supportive and collaborate environment, and reputation for being people-first and performance-focused.

This Financial Controller role will allow the right finance executive to take ownership of the finance function, reporting directly into the Managing Director. It will oversee a small team of 4 and ensure robust reporting to the ELT and Board.

n

This is a hands-on role, well-suited to someone with experience working in an SME environment.



We will consider up and coming finance executives looking to transition into their first 'Head of' position.

The Challenge

n

Key responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Leading month-end and year-end close, ensuring timely reporting
n
- Delivering budgets and forecasts, providing commentary and decision support to the business
n
- Preparing KPI reporting and providing commercial insights
n
- Overseeing compliance including GST/BAS and statutory reporting
n
- Managing working capital, including AR/AP performance and cash-flow forecasting
n
- Driving enhancements to financial processes, controls, and ERP systems
n
- Leading and developing a small finance team
n

The Expertise

n

- Finance leadership experience in fast paced dynamic growth environments
n
- Background in wholesale distribution, FMCG, manufacturing or similar industries
n
- High achievement drive, your personality is energetic and you enjoy working within agile, fast-paced cultures
n
- The presence and communication skills to successfully support and report to board and PE owner
