A senior GP here is winding down after years of practice. That means an established patient base changing hands rather than a book to build from nothing. The site already runs full 7 days a week, so the patients are there from the start.
Flexible Roster
Full time or part time, sessions to suit. The site sits alongside 9 part time GPs, so a short week is normal here rather than an exception.
Remuneration
- Site billings $386 gross per session hour
- Gap fees $40 weekdays, $50 weekends
- Mixed billing, 70/30 GP split
- Estimated GP share $270 an hour on stated billings
- Fortnightly disbursement
- $190 an hour guaranteed for the first 3 months
Clinical Work
- Women's health across a young catchment, antenatal and postnatal
- Paediatrics from a young family book
- Type 2 diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular risk, often presenting early
- Mental health and workplace stress across a professional cohort
- Travel medicine and preventative care
Company, Culture and Site
A doctor owned, non-corporate group across 3 sites, built around clinical autonomy and enough operational support that the business side stays off your desk. Senior GPs across the group are gradually reducing hours toward retirement, which is what creates capacity like this one. A full time practice manager runs the site, and regular clinical meetings with active case discussion mean the 9 GP cohort actually talks to each other.
The practice sits inside a shopping centre with up-to-date rooms, Best Practice software and free onsite parking. 1 to 2 nurses Monday to Saturday, pathology on site Monday to Saturday, and a psychologist consulting from the practice.
