About the Role:
n
Reporting to the Regional Manager FNQLD, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of electronic security systems.
n
Based in Townsville, you will work across a range of customer sites and projects, with opportunities to travel throughout Queensland. This hands‐on role suits a technician who enjoys solving problems, working independently in the field and building trusted relationships with customers.
n
You will be supported by an experienced team and have access to modern systems, tools and technology to help you deliver high‐quality outcomes.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Install, commission, service and maintain CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm and associated electronic security systems.
n
- Conduct fault‐finding, diagnostics and repairs to ensure systems remain reliable and operational.
n
- Complete preventative maintenance and scheduled service work to a high standard.
n
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and customer requirements.
n
- Provide professional onsite technical support and advice to customers.
n
- Complete service reports, commissioning documentation, timesheets and other job‐related records accurately.
n
- Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant Australian Standards, Queensland licensing requirements, site procedures and WHS obligations.
n
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, improvements and additional customer solutions.
n
- Travel throughout Queensland as required to support customer sites and project delivery.
n
- Represent the business professionally and contribute positively to a strong team culture.

About You:
n
You are a reliable, safety-conscious technician who takes ownership of your work and delivers a high standard of service every time. You can work autonomously, communicate confidently with customers and remain calm when resolving technical issues in the field.
n
To be successful, you will bring:
n
n
- A minimum of 3 years' experiencein electronic security, electrical, communications or a related technical field.
n
- Proven experience installing and servicing CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
n
- A current Queensland Security Licence.
n
- Relevant trade qualifications, technical certifications or industry training.
n
- Strong fault‐finding, diagnostic and problem‐solving skills.
n
- A customer‐first mindset and the ability to build positive working relationships.
n
- A commitment to protected work practices,
quality workmanship and compliance.
n
- A current driver's licence.
n
- The ability and willingness to travel throughout Queensland when required.
n
- A genuine interest in technology and developing your knowledge of up-to-date security solutions.
