We offer genuine flexibility around start and finish times, including school drop-offs, pick-ups and family commitments. Some flexibility around the Week 2 schedule may also be available for the right candidate.
n
What You'll Do
n
n
- Process the fortnightly pay run end to end, reviewing and approving each cycle workflow.
n
- Investigate and resolve pay anomalies including overtime validation, penalty rates, missing timecards and terminations.
n
- Apply Contemporary Awards, the NES, and statutory obligations with confidence, including STP Phase 2, superannuation, PAYG, and payroll tax across QLD, NSW, ACT and SA.
n
- Own EOFY payroll activities, reconciliations with Finance, and statutory reporting.
n
- Respond to employee pay queries with accuracy and discretion.
n
- Maintain payroll master data integrity across MicroPay and ConnX, and contribute to continuous improvement of our payroll rules and processes.
n
n
What You'll Bring
n
n
- Demonstrated experience running end-to-end payroll in a multi-site or multi-state environment.
n
- Strong working knowledge of Modern Awards, the NES, and Australian statutory payroll obligations.
n
- Experience with MicroPay and ConnX highly regarded; comparable payroll/HRIS systems welcome.
n
- High attention to detail, sound judgement, and absolute discretion with confidential information.
n
- Comfortable working with modern, automated systems, curiosity about payroll technology and AI-assisted tools is a genuine advantage.
n
- Advanced Excel skills.
n
n
What We Offer
n
n
- Permanent part-time role working a 6-day fortnight.
n
- Genuine flexibility around school drop-offs, pick-ups and family commitments, with core hours of 10am to 3pm.
n
- Work-from-home opportunities available once fully trained and established in the role.
n
- Some flexibility around the Week 2 schedule for the right candidate.
n
- A modern payroll environment with industry-leading automation tools.
n
- A supportive, family-oriented culture.
n
- Opportunity to take ownership of the payroll function.
n
- Competitive salary plus superannuation.
n
- The stability of a growing Australian-owned business within the KWB Group.
n
n
Applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia. Shortlisted candidates will be required to consent to reference checks.
