Associate/Senior Associate – Insurance Litigation (4–5 PAE)

We are currently seeking an Associate or Senior Associate (4–5 years' PAE)to join our growing Insurance Litigation team. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-value personal injury, public and construction liability matters, acting for leading insurers and construction industry clients.

About this Role

n

You will play a key role in managing a diverse portfolio of matters, with hands‐on responsibility across all stages of the litigation process in both the District and Supreme Courts.

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Running litigation files with a high degree of autonomy, including court appearances and procedural management
n
- Drafting pleadings, interlocutory applications, subpoenas, and affidavit evidence
n
- Managing evidentiary requirements and preparing matters for hearing
n
- Negotiating consent orders and engaging in dispute resolution processes
n
- Acting in the defence of personal injury and public liability claims
n
- Representing head contractors and subcontractors across a broad range of construction matters
n
- Assisting in the management of workplace injury claims for public liability insurers
n
- Advising on and defending s151Z recovery claims
n
- Providing strategic advice on indemnity, liability, and quantum
n
- Liaising with insurers, experts,



and counsel to deliver effective outcomes for clients

About You

n

n
- 4–5 years' post‐admission experience in insurance litigation, personal injury, or defendant litigation
n
- Strong working knowledge of court processes, procedures, and litigation strategy
n
- Proven experience managing files and appearing in court with confidence
n
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and negotiation skills
n
- Experience acting for insurers and a solid understanding of construction‐related claims (highly regarded)
n
- A commercial, proactive, and client‐focused mindset
