Job Description

A well-established family-owned manufacturing business in the Yatala/Staplyton area is seeking an experienced Powder Coating Leading Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing our powder coating operations across two shifts, supporting a team of 10+ employees and ensuring production, quality and safety standards are consistently maintained.

About the Role

n

Reporting to the Production Manager, you will play an important role in coordinating the day-to-day powder coating operation and supporting the team across both shifts.

- Overseeing and coordinating powder coating operations across two shifts
n
- Leading and supporting a team of 10+ employees
n
- Allocating work and ensuring production targets are met
n
- Monitoring product quality and ensuring customer specifications are achieved
n
- Ensuring safe work practices and company procedures are followed
n
- Supporting staff with training, coaching and day-to-day guidance
n
- Identifying and resolving production issues
n
- Ensuring equipment, work areas and materials are organised and maintained
n




- Working closely with Production, Despatch and other departments to keep workflow moving
n
- Assisting with continuous improvement initiatives
n
- Maintaining a positive, respectful and productive team environment
n

About You

n

n
- Has previous experience in powder coating
n
- Has experience leading, supervising or coordinating a team
n
- Understands powder coating processes, quality requirements and production workflow
n
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage competing priorities
n
- Has strong communication and problem-solving skills
n
- Leads by example and is comfortable working hands-on with the team
n
- Takes safety and quality seriously
n
