Our client is a Furniture retail business in Fortitude Valley looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support their established Store Manager and drive the store's performance. This is a genuine second-in-command role within a supportive team environment, offering the chance to lead from the shop floor, develop your leadership skills, and progress toward Store Management. The permanent position is based on a Tuesday to Saturday roster, with a salary of $65,000 to $70,000 plus superannuation + Store Incentives.

Preferred Requirements

n

n
- Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager, 2IC, or Supervisor, or strong Senior Sales background with demonstrated leadership potential
n
- Proven track record in sales with the ability to drive KPIs and targets consistently
n
- Confident in coaching, motivating, and developing team members
n
- Strong customer service skills and a hands-on approach to leading from the shop floor
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional presentation and customer-focused mindset
n

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in retail management or supervisory roles within a sales-driven environment
n
- Background in furniture, homewares, interiors, or other consultative retail (advantageous but not essential)
n
- Demonstrated ability to manage stock, visual merchandising, and day-to-day store operations
