We are working on an excellent 12 month contract role for a property lawyer, with experience in leasing. Our client is a global investment company that owns, develops and operates media infrastructure. Their Australian operations are experiencing growth and the legal team is expanding. They are looking for a legal counsel experienced in real estate and leasing to assist a busy team.

Role description

- This is a parental leave cover for 12 months , with potential to become permanent.
- You will be independently managing transactions from end to end, drafting and negotiating a broad range of agreements, including heads of terms, NDAs, framework agreements, licences and other real estate documents.
- Managing approvals and processes for transactions
- Advising on key legal issues and risk management

About you

- At least 4 - 8 years PAE
- Experience in property, leasing and retail leasing
- Knowledge of corporate law and dispute resolution/litigation highly desirable
- Ability to run matters autonomously with minimal supervision
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work confidently with internal and external stakeholders
