Discover more via our website. Your next career opportunity In this senior role, you will shape the academic and residential life at International House. You will support an inclusive, globally minded community enabled by student wellbeing and participation, belonging, leadership and academic achievement. You will collaborate with other Colleges and Halls and with teams across the University to strengthen partnerships, alumni engagement and the overall residential experience.
What you will deliver:
- Lead a welcoming, inclusive residential community and design programmes that enhance student belonging, wellbeing, success and civic responsibility.
- Oversee student welfare, pastoral care, incidents and risks, ensuring safe, supportive environments and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Strengthen relationships with students, alumni, donors and partners, advancing reputation, engagement, philanthropy and community connections.
- Provide inspirational leadership to staff and student leaders, overseeing operations, budgets, contracts and facilities improvements.
- Develop and implement strategic and operational plans for International House, with clear KPIs and continuous improvement processes.
You may be a great fit if you:
- Hold a relevant postgraduate qualification and demonstrate substantial management expertise, preferably in higher education or other complex organisations.
- Bring extensive experience in student accommodation or residential colleges, mentoring and supporting students’ academic and social wellbeing.
- Demonstrate success developing and delivering strategic and operational plans, leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide outstanding people leadership, building collaborative, high-performance teams and managing performance, operations and financial resources.
- Excel at relationship-building, consultation and negotiation with diverse stakeholders, including executives, students, alumni and external partners.
- Offer experience working with fundraising or advancement teams and, ideally, exposure to higher education environments.
