The Prospect
n
We're looking for someone who is practical, curious and keen to learn. You might be starting your career, looking for a change, or simply excited by the opportunity to develop new technical skills.
n
As part of Sealy's Research & Development team, you'll receive hands‐on training and gain broad exposure to our testing, quality and product development processes. You'll learn how we test and evaluate raw materials,
components and finished products, while building practical laboratory skills alongside an experienced team.
n
For the right person, we can also offer a workplace‐based traineeship pathway towards becoming a qualified Laboratory Technician, combining practical on‐the‐job experience with a recognised qualification.

Specific responsibilities include:
n
n
- Test preparation: Collect, prepare and dispose of raw materials, components and finished products for conditioning and testing – This includes Manual Handling of materials and mattresses.
n
- Testing: Conduct testing and assessment of raw materials, components and finished products.
n
- Data entry & test reporting: Record results and generate laboratory test reports.
n
- NATA accreditation support: Assist with routine instrument checks, laboratory maintenance and activities supporting our NATA accreditation.
n

About you
n
Previous laboratory experience is welcome, but definitely not essential.
n
