I’m currently partnering with a well-established Sydney-based construction company specialising in Class 2 residential developments, to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

This is an office-based opportunity for an Estimator with strong Class 2 residential experience who is looking to take ownership of the estimating function and work across a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

Boutique to medium-scale residential apartment developments ($20M - $100M value)

I’m currently partnering with a well-established Sydney-based construction company specialising in Class 2 residential developments, to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.

This is an office-based opportunity for an Estimator with strong Class 2 residential experience who is looking to take ownership of the estimating function and work across a strong pipeline of upcoming projects.

The Role

- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for Class 2 residential projects
- Review construction drawings, specifications and documentation
- Conduct quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis
- Source and obtain competitive subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Prepare tender submissions, budgets and cost plans
- Analyse project costs, variations and potential commercial risks




- Work closely with Project Managers, Contract Administrators and the wider construction team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
- Assist with procurement and value engineering where required
- Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive and delivered within required timeframes

About You

- 5+ years’ experience as an Estimator within the Australian construction industry
- Strong Class 2 residential / apartment construction experience
- Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials and subcontractor pricing
- Strong ability to interpret architectural, structural and services drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and commercial awareness
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines simultaneously
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is highly regarded
