Site Manager - industrial, fast food and retail construction projects

Initial project - $15M new build industrial project located nr Coomera in Gold Coasts Northern suburbs

Excellent well established mid-tier national building contractor with a standout reputation in delivering a range of commercial, industrial and retail projects throughout Australia.

Current project portfolio including shopping centre extensions & new-builds, industrial / warehouse, supermarket refurbs and more (projects from $3M - $40M) throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Salary on offer - $170,000 - $190,000 + super on offer (D.O.E) + excellent benefits on offer.

Benefits include 25 days annual leave + days off in lieu for excessive hours worked.

Immediate need for a strong standalone site manager to join an established, highly reputable Australian mid-tier commercial and industrial building contractor. The first project you will manage will be a $15M industrial project from start through to handover, located near Coomera on the Northern end of the Gold Coast. Built over three new warehouse buildings the projects consists of delivering 13 high-quality commercial spaces.

The Position:

Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager you will play a key role as the lead site manager delivering this industrial project.



As its newly awarded, you’ll work on the projects from start trough to hand-over, managing the entire project life cycle. Additional team members assisting with the delivery of the project will include a Contracts Administrator, Safety Advisor and Cadet. You will be relatively self-sufficient and manage the project for the entire life cycle, from start through structure and handover.

Duties:

- Report to the project manager
- Run the projects from start through to handover
- Short term programming, to keep the job on track.
- Interpret and work off plans
- Management of sub-contractors and trades from civils, to structures, and internal.
- WHS - ensure works are undertaken safely - recognise and rectify site safety issues
- Use company software, mainly Procore and Hammertech.

To be suitable for the role it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

- Will possess a QBCC Building or Supervisors license
- A robust trade background
- Will have built up strong supervisory skills as a Site Foreman and Manager with established Australian commercial & industrial building contractors.
- Will have a track record of working on commercial, retail and industrial projects to $30M
- Experience with tilt panel industrial experience is highly desirable
- New build industrial, supermarket and commercial construction project experience is hugely beneficial
- Will have ideally worked for reputable commercial contractors with established systems, processes and software in place such as Procore and Hammertech.
- Possess a 'can-do' positive attitude and be a positive member of the site team

On Offer:
