Frankie & George Cafe is seeking a passionate and experienced Front of House Assistant Manager to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Brisbane, QLD 4000. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting the smooth operation of our busy café. As Assistant Manager, you will work alongside our management team to ensure outstanding service standards, maintain our reputation for excellence, and contribute to the success of our growing hospitality business.

What you'll be doing

n

Leading and supervising front of house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and positive guest experiences

n

Managing customer interactions with professionalism, warmth and attention to detail

n

Assisting in the training, development and performance management of team members

n

Maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness and presentation throughout the café

n

Handling customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally, seeking appropriate resolutions

n

Supporting the management of café operations, including table management, reservations and seating arrangements

n

Monitoring and promoting food and beverage offerings to guests

n

Assisting with rosters, scheduling and staffing arrangements as required

n

Contributing to the achievement of service targets and business objectives

n

Supporting cash handling procedures and point-of-sale system operations

n

Collaborating with kitchen and management teams to ensure operational efficiency

n





What we're looking for

n

Experienced barista skills and knowledge

n

Proven experience in a front of house or hospitality management role, preferably within a café, restaurant or similar venue

n

Strong leadership and team management capabilities with the ability to motivate and develop staff

n

Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for hospitality

n

Ability to remain calm, organised and skilled in a rapid-paced environment

n

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

n

Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices

n

Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and hospitality technology

n

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform various operational tasks

n

Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays as required

n

A positive attitude, strong work ethic and commitment to excellence

n

Relevant hospitality qualifications or certifications are advantageous
