Job Description

Cahill Transport is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our QLD operations team based in Lytton.

n

Reporting to our Transport Manager QLD, you'll coordinate linehaul and regional freight movements, working Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

What You'll Be Doing

n

Allocating drivers, trucks and trailers across linehaul and regional freight movements.

n

Coordinating freight collections, deliveries and scheduled movements.

n

Monitoring operations and adjusting allocations for delays, freight volumes and changing priorities.

n

Maximising fleet utilisation while meeting customer requirements.

n

Liaising with drivers, customers and depot teams.

n

Managing freight bookings and scheduling.

n

Ensuring allocations meet weight, fatigue and load compliance requirements.

What You'll Bring

n

Previous experience as a Transport Allocator, Fleet Allocator or similar.

n

Strong knowledge of linehaul, regional and general freight operations.

n

Experience allocating heavy vehicles, including B-doubles.

n

Understanding of GML/CML, fatigue management and Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements.

n





Solid geographical knowledge relevant to road transport.

n

Ability to make sound decisions and reprioritise as requirements change.

n

Strong communication and organisational skills.

n

Experience with Freight 2020 or similar transport management systems is highly regarded.
