Lead a dedicated rehabilitation nursing team as Nurse Unit Manager of General Rehabilitation Ward 4B, driving clinical excellence, workforce development and high-quality patient-centred care while shaping the future of rehabilitation services at STARS.
About the role
The Nurse Unit Manager – General Rehabilitation Ward 4B provides advanced clinical and operational leadership within the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service at Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS). The role is accountable for the effective management of nursing services, workforce capability, resource utilisation and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred rehabilitation care.
The successful candidate will lead and support nursing teams, oversee service performance, and drive quality improvement, education and research initiatives that enhance patient outcomes. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders, they will ensure clinical governance standards are maintained while fostering a positive workplace culture focused on excellence, innovation and continuous improvement.
About you

- Lead and coordinate nursing and multidisciplinary teams to deliver protected, high-quality and person-centred rehabilitation services.
- Provide advanced leadership in clinical governance, workforce management, quality improvement,
education and research activities.
- Monitor nursing practice standards, service performance indicators and patient outcomes to drive continuous service improvement.
- Manage human, financial and material resources effectively while supporting workforce development, succession planning and staff performance.
