Job Description

Reporting to the R&D; Director, you will take ownership of quality and product compliance across the business. This is a hands‐on leadership role combining quality systems, product compliance, regulatory requirements and continuous improvement, while leading a small technical team and working closely with R&D;, suppliers, regulators and certification bodies.

Key responsibilities

n

- Leading the Quality Assurance and Product Compliance teams across Australasia
n
- Establishing, implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS)
n
- Maintaining AS/NZS ISO 9001 certification and delivering internal audit programs
n
- Managing the Non-Conformance Report (NCR) system and corrective actions
n
- Ensuring products comply with applicable standards and regulatory requirements
n
- Overseeing compliance across electrical safety, EMC, fire performance and related requirements
n
- Managing product registrations and certification schemes including EESS, GEMS/MEPS and ActivFire
n
- Maintaining Supplier Declarations of Compliance and certification renewals
n
- Managing warranty-related activities and identifying opportunities to reduce warranty costs
n
- Working with internal teams, suppliers, regulators and certification bodies to improve quality and compliance outcomes

About you

n

- Demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance, Product Compliance or a related management role
n
- Robust working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
n
- Formal training in quality processes, auditing and quality management systems
n
- Qualifications and/or experience in engineering or a related technical discipline
n
- Experience managing regulatory compliance and certification programs
n
- Leadership experience managing technical or specialist teams
n
- Strong stakeholder management, organisation and problem-solving capability
n
- A practical, continuous-improvement mindset and strong attention to detail
n
- Experience with ISO 17025, electrical product compliance, technical drawings/specifications or related certification schemes would be highly regarded
n
