The Role

n

Reporting to the Coordinator Transport
n Operations and based primarily out of Council's depot at Wilberforce. The
n purpose of this role is to provide leadership to, and be accountable for, the
n performance of the day labour workforce and contractors that are responsible
n for the completion of construction projects on Council's transport and
n stormwater assets. The Team Leader will ensure agreed specifications are met and
n within agreed timeframes, as directed by the Coordinator Transport Operations.

About You

n

You will have a minimum of 5+ years demonstrated experience
n leading teams in operational activities in a construction environment. You will
n be adept at using work management systems and have robust experience in work
n prioritisation.



You will demonstrate astute judgement and professionalism which
n will support you to effectively and positively supervise and motivate the team,
n as well as build and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal
n and external stakeholders.

- Tertiary qualifications in relevant technical discipline or demonstrated equivalent competencies gained through experience
n
- Accredited to prepare a work zone traffic management plan (PWZ)
n
- 5+ years demonstrated experience leading operational activities in a construction or maintenance environment
n
- Demonstrated experience in work management systems and work prioritisation
n
- Ability to determine project requirements, interpret plans and plan and execute works
n
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
n
- The right to live and work in Australia
n
- Class C Drivers Licence
n
- WHS General Construction Work in NSW
n
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
n
- Successful applicants will be required to undergo background (police) checks and medical declaration
n
