Consultant Psychiatrist (Child & Adolescent) | John Hunter | $2,700 per day

John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle is seeking a consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to cover their CommunityChild and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS)team from16 Nov 2026 to12 Feb 2027.

n

You will work with the team-leader to provide support across the team, consisting of two other psychiatrists and three registrars. Tele-health and part time options are negotiable for the right candidate.

- Public holidays off
n
- Days only; 8:30am-5:00pm.

To be be considered, you will have:

n

n
- Specialist AHPRA registration
n
- Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP)
n
- Familiarity with SDPR (desirable)
n
- Relevant paediatric psychiatry experience, ideally in eating disorders
n
- Current medical indemnity insurance that covers psychiatry
n
