Rail Brake Press / Machine Operator Workshop

An opportunity exists for a production operator to join a production workshop team that carry out a rail safety component part manufacturing, which will see you operator a brake press plus other machinery ensuring that all activities are performed in a secure & efficient manner in accordance with all relevant company procedures & instructions.

Role Tasks & Duties
n
The role includes but not limited to:
n
n
- Operating a series of brake pad press mould machines as both an individual & part of a team in an efficient manner to ensure that a smooth operating manufacturing process schedule is maintained.
n
- Record all outcomes and sign/date all appropriate task and test specific documentation, during and at the completion of testing of finished assemblies/products.
n
- Identify all products tested to indicate tested status, i.e., Batch No. and Serial Number stamped on body or product, after passing all tests.
n
- Promptly advise the Lead Service Technicianof any inaccuracies or non conformance of finished brake pads / parts.
n
- Ensure that all customer goods, inventory stock, tooling and equipment are identified appropriately, and any expiration and/or service dates are compliant, initiating escalation where necessary.
n
- Clean and maintaining all plant & equipment as required to ensure proper & accurate safe functioning.
n
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times plus always wearing the full PPE equipment provided.
n
- Actively participate in team meetings & add value to these where possible from both a workers & safety perspective.
n
- Undertake any reasonable duties as may be required to support operational and business requirements.
n
- May be required to work outside of normal working hours or additional hours to support operational requirements.
n
- And any other duties directed by your manager.
n

Required Skills, Experience and Competencies
n
n
- Mechanical Attitude & proven practical onsite experience of working in an manual / manufacturing environment.
n
- Australian Full Time Unlimited working rights.
n
- Have a valid HSE White Card.
n
n
Additional requirements
n
n
- A partial completion of an Australian Trade Certification will be considered very desirable.
n
- Will be expected to undergo a Rail CAT 3pre-employment medical with LAB Drugs & Alcohol Screening.
n
- Will have to complete anAustralian Police Check.
n
- Have fulltime unlimited Australian working rights.
n
- A Valid NSW HRW Forklift License is highly desirable.
n
- The business is subject to the public health order requirements which are released of changed from time to time.
n

What Is On Offer?

- $42.16 Per Hour for stand hours.
n
- Allowances: Daily Moulding = $5.55 Per Shift, Afternoon Shift = $42.16 Per Shift.
n
- Fortnightly rotating Days & Afternoon Mon - Thurs shift, with an early Fri finish.
n
