Job Description

A major bank is seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer with robust AKS expertise to join a customer reliability engineering team on a 12-month contract.2 days a week onsite - Syd or Melbourne.

This role will suit a hands-on cloud engineer who is passionate about building reliable, automated and scalable platforms.

Key responsibilities

n

n
- Engineer, automate and support Azure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on AKS.
n
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that enable reliable, repeatable and secure delivery.
n
- Build and enhance Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
n
- Contribute to customer reliability engineering outcomes, improving resilience, availability and performance.
n
- Work closely with platform, engineering and reliability teams to uplift automation and operational maturity.
n
- Apply strong engineering practices to solve platform challenges,



avoiding manual or reactive operations where automation is possible.

Key Skills / Experience

n

n
- Strong hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience.
n
- Deep AKS experience, including platform build, administration, troubleshooting and optimisation.
n
- Solid automation and engineering capability across cloud infrastructure environments.
n
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
n
- Experience working in an SRE, reliability engineering or platform engineering environment is highly desirable.
n
- Background in large enterprise environments; experience within a top-tier banking or financial services environment will be highly regarded.
n
- A practical engineering mindset
