This full time role will contribute to a growing research programme focused on orthopaedic clinical research, patient outcomes, scientific publications and statistical analysis.
n
Qualifications & Experience
n
A relevant Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Biostatistics, Data Science, Mathematics or a related discipline.
n
A PhD or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field is highly desirable.
n
At least 1 year of relevant research, statistical analysis or data science experience.
n
Experience with coding and programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB or Stata is highly desirable.
n
Key responsibilities
n
Use statistics and numerical methods to develop algorithms and perform computations
n
Communicate with management and academic collaborators to design project and research studies
n
Develop methods and collect patient data through surveys to generate analysis to be used for scientific publication
n
Analyse, identify trends and interpret statistical results to report on surgery outcome, patient outcome, and help with data-driven decision making
n
Use your coding expertise to integrate and analyse large scale biomedical data
n
Provide statistical input on grant applications to the NHMRC, MRFF, AOA Research Foundation, and industry partners.
n
Build and maintain reproducible analysis workflows in R, Python, Stata, or comparable statistical analysis tools.
