Job Description
Mercy Community are on the search for a dynamic Team Manager to guide our Family and Child Connect Program based in Toowoomba. This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity, working alongside a well experienced team and Senior Program Manager.
n
The successful applicant will provide senior leadership in the development and implementation of high-quality service delivery, networking and regional engagement of the local service system, and ensure quality practice and strategic relationships with government and NGO services.
n
This role involves but not limited to -
n
n
- Ensure that the program areas operate in accordance with Mercy Community' and co-agency policy, procedures and values, service schedules, accreditation requirements and other relevant protocols in close consultation with the line manager.
n
- Oversee the effective management of critical and non-critical incidents in line with organisation and legislative requirements, and in consultation with the Program Manager/Senior Program Manager.
n
- Proactively establish and maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the Department of Child Safety, Youth & Women (DCSYW), mandatory reporters and other key stakeholders to ensure the excellent reputation ofMCprograms in the broader community.
n
- Prepare reporting against service agreements or any other reports required and submit these reports to the manager in required timeframes.
n
- Provide direct assistance to employees in the management of their relationships and therapeutic engagements with all stakeholders
n
n
About you
n
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
n
n
- Tertiary degree or above in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or related discipline.
n
- Extensive experience in conducting safety and risk assessments, family support and intervention services; focusing on neglect and domestic violence.
n
- Sound understanding and knowledge of the Queensland child protection system
n
- Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver's License
n
- Current and valid Paid Blue Card (Queensland Working with Children Check) or ability to apply
n
- Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
n
n
