Build your cyber security capability while helping protect the systems and services relied on by the Department of Primary Industries and our government partner agencies.

This permanent AO5 opportunity offers practical exposure to cyber and information security incidents, risk and vulnerability assessment, security control monitoring and stakeholder advice in a large and diverse ICT setting.

n

You will work with experienced security and ICT professionals, contribute to meaningful operational outcomes and strengthen your capability across security operations, incident management, risk, assurance and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for (qualifications, registrations, experience)

n

We are seeking someone who can demonstrate:

n

n
- experience in cyber security, information security, ICT risk, security operations or a related ICT discipline
n
- the ability to analyse issues, gather and document relevant information, and appropriately escal...
n
- practical knowledge of contemporary security risks, controls, frameworks and better-practice approaches
n
- clear communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to explain technical risks and recommended actions in practical business language
n
- sound judgement,



confidentiality and the ability to manage competing priorities while working independently and collaboratively.
n

n

Experience with security operations tools, vulnerability assessment processes, incident management systems, SIEM platforms, endpoint protection, cloud security or Queensland Government security frameworks would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
