Senior Internal Auditor - Technology | Financial Services

Location: Brisbane City

Work Arrangement: Full-time

The Opportunity

n

Deliver internal audits across technology and business domains, providing independent assurance on governance, risk management, and control environments.

n

You will help the organisation meet regulatory obligations, including APRA standards, protect data and systems, and improve control maturity through audit testing, reporting, and risk-based recommendations.

Your Impact

- Audit Execution: Prepare working papers, evaluate controls, and conduct testing for IT general controls and application controls.
n
- Delivery & Workflow: Run audits across technology, cyber, systems, and data domains.
n
- Risk Identification: Identify control weaknesses and risks in technology, information security, systems resilience, data integrity, and change delivery.
n
- Commercial Judgement: Provide risk-based audit recommendations that fit the business and technology environments.
n
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work with business, technology,



and data leaders while sharing insights across the audit team.
n
- Recommendation Tracking: Track implementation of audit recommendations and review supporting evidence to ensure root causes are addressed.
n
- Risk Culture: Provide risk and compliance input during audits, risk assessments, technology changes, and projects.

About You

n

n
- Qualifications: Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, CA, or CPA highly regarded.
n
- Experience: Experience auditing technology, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and transformation projects. Audit experience of or within a financial services business is highly regarded.
n
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with audit tools and testing procedures.
n
- Core Competencies: Solid analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
