The East Corrimal Medical Centre is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Nurse to join our friendly team. Our practice offers a skilled, supportive and collaborative working setting, with an experienced team committed to providing high-quality patient care. This 3 day per week casual position, is an excellent opportunity for a motivated nurse who values teamwork, enjoys working within General Practice and takes pride in delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

In this position you will be responsible for:

n

n
- Maintaining up to date Health Assessments and Care Plans for our patient population in clinic and at RACF.
n
- Assisting with patient education and community health promotion activities
n
- Assisting doctors with clinical procedures; planning and management of patient care and patient advocacy
n
- Maintaining clinical documentation
n
- Maintaining awareness of OH&S; and legislation to ensure business is complying with all statutory and regulatory obligations including infection control, sterilisation,



hazardous materials & safe handling/disposal of medical waste and stock control
n
- Acting within practice and nursing code of ethics and appropriate level of clinical competence
n
- Complying with patient confidentiality and privacy obligations
n

Education, Qualifications and Experience

n

n
- Appropriate tertiary qualification & registration certificate
n
- Professional indemnity cover
n
- Demonstrated understanding of needs of general practice and patient-focused approach in service provision
n
- Knowledge of current immunisation schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, infection control, triage, and enhanced primary care
n
- Current NSW Working With Children Check
n
- Current NSW Police Check
n
- Minimum of one years nursing experience
n
- Additional qualifications such as Accredited Women's Health Certificate, Diabetes Education Certificate, Asthma/Spirometry qualification
n
- Member of APNA
n
- Previous experience with health assessments, care plans and cycles of care.
