We are seeking an experienced Civil / Structural Designer and a Senior Civil / Structural Designer to join our Drawing Office on a staff basis. Contract terms will also be considered for suitable candidates.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for designers with a strong background in minerals processing to contribute to the design and delivery of major projects across gold, copper and nickel operations.

n

The Civil / Structural Designer role will cover:

n

n
- Preparation of civil and structural drawings including foundations, footings, platforms, walkways, structural steelwork and general arrangements
n
- Detailing of structural steel connections, bulk material handling structures and equipment support structures
n
- Production of concept, preliminary and detailed design drawings through to construction-ready issue
n
- Working from engineer's calculations, sketches and markups to produce accurate, fit-for-purpose drawings
n
- Coordination and clash detection with other disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical) in a multi-disciplinary environment
n




- Maintaining drawing registers, revision control and documentation in line with company and client standards
n
- Site measure-ups and verification of existing conditions where required
n
- Liaising with engineers, project managers and clients to ensure design intent is accurately captured
n

About you:

n

n
- Trade or tertiary qualification in Drafting, Design or a related discipline
n
- Proven experience as a Civil/Structural Designer within the resources or minerals processing sector
n
- Proficiency in Autodesk products, and ideally Advanced Steel
n
- Sound understanding of Australian structural and civil design standards
n
- Solid attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deliverables to deadlines
n
- A collaborative, team-first approach and clear communication skills
n
