The position
n
We're looking for an Assistant Finance Officer to join our Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. This is a part-time, casual role working 3 days per week, supporting the Finance team to enable timely and accurate financial reporting and management in support of Tiimely's strategy and organisational performance.

You'll provide coordination and pro-active liaison with colleagues across Tiimely, and support the operational delivery of financial frameworks, forecasting, reporting, and financial processing, with a strong focus on excellent service.

Your other responsibilities will include:
n

- Reconciliation of bank statements and supplier statements.
n
- Supplier invoice processing and statement reconciliation.
n
- Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register.
n
- Administering Receipt Bank and Xero accounts payable.
n
- Corporate credit card administration, liaising with cardholders to educate and resolve queries.
n
- Resolving accounts payable queries with customers and partners.
n
- Maintaining accurate financial records of all receivable and payable transactions and verifications.
n
- Supporting the Financial Accountant with statutory reporting requirements,
including preparation of Activity Statements (BAS, IAS) and payroll tax.
n
- Supporting the Financial Accountant with the monthly review of the general ledger, including expense accounts and GST transactions.
n
- Supporting the booking and management of companywide travel (flights and accommodation) in line with agreed policies and procedures.
n
- Supporting office management duties and ad-hoc projects as required.

What We're Looking For
n
Required
n
n
- Hold, or be working towards, a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or commerce.
n
- Experience in a similar accounts payable, bookkeeping or finance support role.
n
- Working knowledge of Xero (or similar accounting software) and confidence using Excel.
n
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
n
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
n
- A proactive, service-oriented approach, with strong communication skills to liaise effectively across the business.
n
- Experience administering Receipt Bank or similar expense management platforms.
n
- Exposure to BAS/IAS preparation or payroll tax processes.
n
- Experience in a fintech, financial services, or other regulated industry.
n
