Coral Tree Inn is seeking an experienced and reliable Handyperson to join our busy hotel in the heart of Cairns CBD. This part‐time, hands‐on role suits someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety, and can confidently manage day‐to‐day maintenance across the property.

About the Role

n

You will support the general upkeep of the hotel, ensuring our rooms, facilities, and grounds remain safe, functional, and welcoming for our guests. No two days are the same, and the ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

- General repairs and maintenance across the property
n
- Basic plumbing skills
n
- Painting and touch‐ups
n
- Pool maintenance and water quality checks
n
- Gardening, groundskeeping, and outdoor upkeep
n




- Assisting with room and facility maintenance as required
n
- Responding to maintenance requests promptly
n
- Ensuring safety and compliance standards are met
n

About You

n

n
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role (hotel experience highly regarded)
n
- Confident with basic plumbing skills, painting, pool care, and general repairs
n
- Able to work independently and manage daily tasks efficiently
n
- Reliable, proactive, and safety focused
n
- Friendly and professional when interacting with guests and staff
n
- Cairns local preferred
