NQM Gold is seeking an experienced Mining Trainer & Assessor – Underground to support the safe, compliant, and effective operation of our Pajingo mine.

This role is responsible for delivering high‐quality training to underground mining personnel and ensuring full compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

This position is hands‐on and operational, working closely with Supervisors, Managers, and crews to maintain competency, safety standards, and continuous improvement across underground operations.

This position is hands‐on and operational, working closely with Supervisors, Managers, and crews to maintain competency, safety standards, and continuous improvement across underground operations.

Key Responsibilities

n

- Deliver ongoing training and assessment for all underground mining personnel
n
- Ensure all underground activities align with site procedures and policies
n
- Manage and coordinate training requirements for the Mining Department
n
- Conduct workplace inspections, training assessments, and competency evaluations
n
- Maintain accurate and up‐to‐date training records and documentation
n
- Operate underground mining equipment when not engaged in training duties
n
- Ensure risk assessments are completed for non‐procedural tasks
n
- Proactively identify, report, and mitigate hazards and unsafe behaviours
n




- Conduct safety inspections and actively promote a strong safety culture
n
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, productivity, and cost efficiency
n
- Foster open, respectful, and collaborative working relationships across the site
n

Skills & Qualifications

n

Essential

n

n
- QMS 1, 2 & 3
n
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment
n
- Minimum 10 years' experience as an underground mining operator
n
- Demonstrated experience in a similar training or assessment role
n
- Strong understanding of underground mining operations
n
- Proven ability to work safely at all times
n
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, and scheduling skills
n

Desirable

- Certificate IV in Frontline Management
n
- Experience across all underground operational roles, including Jumbo
n

n
