Excavator & Plant Operator – Civil Construction

Convil Group is an established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure projects across the public and private sectors throughout Sydney.

n

Our work includes subdivisions, roadworks, stormwater drainage, bulk and detailed earthworks, large-scale landscaping, landslip remediation and the construction of traffic facilities.

n

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Excavator and Plant Operator to join our growing team. The successful candidate must be reliable, safety-focused and capable of working both independently and as part of a team. Experience operating additional plant and equipment will be highly regarded.

Qualifications & Experience:

n

n
- Minimum 3 years' experience in civil construction
n
- Current VOC
n
- White Card
n
- Current HR Driver's Licence (Manual required)
n
- Excavator ticket (RIIMPO320F or equivalent)
n
- Experience with hammers, rock saws, augers – highly regarded
n
- GPS operation experience – desirable
n
- Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
n
- Strong work ethic,

Tasks & Responsibilities:

n

n
- Operate excavators and other plant (e.g. skid steers, rollers) safely and efficiently
n
- Perform trenching, detailed excavation, backfilling, and loading
n
- Conduct pre-start inspections and perform basic equipment maintenance
n
- Follow site plans, levels, and supervisor instructions
n
- Assist with general labouring when required
n
- Comply with all WHS procedures and maintain a robust safety culture
n
