The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced professional for a full time position as a Parliamentary Service Level 4 Team Leader within the Parliamentary Security Operations Room (PSOR), located in Barton, South Canberra.

Operating within the Security Operations Branch, this critical role directly contributes to the safe, secure, and effective operation of Australian Parliament House.

As the Team Leader for the PSOR, you will be responsible for supervising PSOR operators during your shift and playing a key role in the continuous delivery of 24/7 security monitoring, control room operations, and effective incident response.

You will provide essential day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to your team, ensuring high standards of operational readiness and adherence to established security protocols.

Key responsibilities and duties in this role typically include:

- Supervising and leading shift-based PSOR operators to maintain a high-performing and cohesive security team.




- Monitoring security systems and managing control room operations to safeguard the premises around the clock.
- Coordinating rapid and effective responses to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms within Australian Parliament House.
- Providing ongoing guidance, support, and on-the-job direction to operational staff.
- Ensuring accurate reporting, documentation, and communication of shift activities and security events.
- Collaborating with broader security and parliamentary teams to maintain a secure environment for building occupants and visitors.

To succeed in this position, candidates should possess strong leadership capabilities, experience in security operations or control room environments, and the ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure. Familiarity with 24/7 rostering environments and complex security monitoring systems will be highly regarded.
